Frank
D'Ostilio, Jr., Vice President and Sales Manager of George J. Smith
& Son Commercial and Investment Real Estate, is the former owner and
president of William Orange Realty. He acquired William Orange
in 1989 and grew it from four agents into one of New Haven County's
top firms, with three locations and more than sixty full-time
agents, before selling it to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
(NRT), the largest real estate brokerage in the world. Frank's
real estate career began at the former Beazley Company Realtors, and
within one year he became a top salesperson. he personally
sold more than 1,000 homes, and, as a manager, supervised the sale
of more than 5,000 units. Frank is an expert in new
construction and land development; he is presently a CCIM candidate.
Prior to entering the real estate industry, Frank worked for
accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He is knowledgeable in many
aspects of real estate law, including Section 1031 tax-deferred
exchanges. Throughout his career he has bought and sold
residential, multi-family, and commercial properties for his own
account. Frank is a director of the Woodbridge Park Association,
trustee of the 167 - acre Alice Newton Street Park in Woodbridge.
In 2006, the town of Woodbridge cited him for his efforts in the
sale of the Shepherd Farm Ridge property to the Trust for Public
Land. A past president of the Greater New Haven Association of
Realtors, Frank served as an association director for more than ten
years. He is active with Boy Scout Troup 63 and is also a
member of the Development Committee of Eagle Hill School, Southport.
Raised in Orange and Stratford, Connecticut, Frank graduated Amity
High School and holds a BS degree in accounting from Bryant
University, Smithfield, Rhode Island. He enjoys skiing,
cycling, and power boating. Frank and his wife, Mary, reside
in Woodbridge with their three children.
