Land Sale brokered by Bergin of GJS

Bergin, Senior Vice President of George J. Smith & Son Commercial
Real Estate concluded the sale of 10.5 acres of land in the center
of Ansonia to Target Corporation of Minneapolis, MN. The West Main
Street location was the former site of Latex Foam which was
destroyed by fire in 2001 and was the largest taxpayer in the city.
Target will construct a 127,400 sf retail store and will join other
new retailers in the area including a Bob’s Stores and Marshall's
located in the Big Y shopping center. The project started in June of
2004 and sold in January 2006.
John F. Bergin has been a Commercial Agent for more than twenty
years and has received numerous awards through the New Haven Board
of Realtors Commercial Investment Division (CID) including three in
2005. He is also past President of the Literacy Center of Milford
and current board member of Devon Rotary along with being appointed
in 2006 to the Board of Directors of the Milford Chamber of
Commerce.
